
Accident with a Combine Harvester
The cyclist in this matter was riding along an A road near his home when he was hit and knocked from his bike by a Combine Harvester.
He was thrown into a hedge and somersaulted down the road, resting some 5 metres from his bicycle. The police, Ambulance and Air- Ambulance were called and the cyclist was taken to hospital where he was examined, x rayed and discharged.
Following examination by a consultant and the preparation of a medical report it was confirmed that the accident as described had been the cause of the cyclists injuries.
The cyclist was awarded £10,500 in compensation.
