18 year old client, Katie is taking on Mt Kilimanjaro, the tallest free standing peak in the world in aid of Hope for Children, a UK based charity aiming to deliver ‘the childhood every child deserves’ to disadvantaged children in the UK and developing countries.
Our team represented Katie following an accident in which she suffered life threatening injuries with life-long consequences. We are now thrilled to be sponsoring Katie as she embarks on the challenge of a lifetime; a remarkable achievement in our opinion.
As part of the University of Southampton’s Kilimanjaro Legacy, Katie along with fellow students, will visit one of the projects that the charity will be directly supporting, allowing her to meet some of the children whose lives she will be helping to change and see the effect fundraising has on the vulnerable children of East Africa. The group will then embark on their Kilimanjaro climb via the ‘Machame’ route in September this year.
To help her achieve her fundraising goal of £3000, Katie will be tackling a number of challenges between now and September. Events include student nights, two coast to coast rides, and a half marathon! Katie’s father will be completing the first coast to coast in late February with Katie joining him for the second in late March/Early April.
