According to the National Road Traffic Census, 16,294 bicycle accidents were reported in 2020. Of those cyclist casualties, 141 were killed, 4,215 experienced serious injuries, and 11,938 experienced slight injuries. A considerable number of non-fatal bicycle accidents are not reported to the police, and so the data for cyclist casualties may be more than the data suggests.
